I am nearly 50 years old and I also find it somewhat addicting.
However, I have also learned some attention to priority and some discipline over time. I found that an hour a day was as much as I could afford.
Almost no 16 year-olds are self-disciplining. Thats why they have parents. You must make sure by whatever carrot/stick techniques are appropriate in your family, that you son cannot "afford" to play more than a reasonable amount.

Impose rules at home, make sure that those rules are followed otherwise there will be punishments for certain rules if they break it. Kids ought to know that there is enough time for everything. Nothing is wrong in playing video games so long as they don't overdo it. An hour or 2 is enough.. more than that takes them away from their responsibilities like studies and household chores. If she cant be disciplined, temporarily have your broadband connection disconnected, that will make her stop since WoW (world of warcraft) is an on-line game =)

Play it for an hour and you'll understand why it's addicting.
Set a time limit and enforce consequences when the time limit has passed. This might be more effective if you sit down with your kid for awhile and ask him/her to show you how it works and why its so much fun for them.

Take the game off from her, or buy her something more interesting like a book. But like you said, she likes her a lot, you cannot take it away from her. i was addicted to games, but after sometimes they will stop playing them, they get bored playing the same thing! So let her get off herself.
