Tell her you would like to ash her a question but want to know first if you can take notes. If she says yes, take a cell phone that records, or just a recoeder. Again you must ask while recoreder is. Can I ask you a question & take notes too. If she will say yes again then that means you have her permission to take notes ( not paper but recorded notes). Have her answer a question that would get the atention from the school board. Make sure you get her permission or you can get in trouble with the law for recording without her concent.

I'm a teacher. I understand your point, to a point. The kid you speak of, playing "the racecard" is just looking for fireworks and certainly got it. I'm "irritated" (irritation not hatred) at him for that.

As for her-- her behavior is a response to a pure sense of hopelessness in the classroom. If your math is no better than your writing skills, then you prove me correct. I don't tolerate her unprofressional responses toward your class, but at the same time I would get in there and help her out. Have you ever felt totally alone and the world is out to get you? She's running scared and uses her toughness to counter balance your class' toughness, which as it appears, is also fear-based. Do you suppose your teacher could feel the same as you.

When parents come in for parent/teacher conferences and a teacher tells them the truth-- does she get their support or their assaults and threats? ("Not my Johnny or Susie!")

Maybe, just maybe, if you bake some cookies and bring them in for her, she'll share them with your class, and you could be the reason everyone starts breaking out in a little kindness. Wow! It could happen...

It would help if you send a spokesperson of your class to your school principal to report your teacher's behavior. The principal is the best person to handle the situation.

Yeah, it's hard to be a teacher. Kids shouldn't say disrespectful things to their teachers, which usually causes them to lose their cool. Give her a break.

I agree with the two previous answers. She really shouldn't do things like that.
