Life is full of persons like those you may choose to leave this job but there is no guarantee that you won't meet the same kinds of persons at your new job. My advice especially if you like you job would be to focus on the work that you have to do, be cordial & polite but don't get too chummy and share personal info with persons who you think are manupulative, no matter how much they get on your last nerve strive to keep your cool.Just remember at the end of the day you don't have to take them home.
You'll most likely gain not only gain their respect but the respect of others by not playing into their hands and stooping to their level.

I recently quit a job because of someone like that. I felt that I didn't need that kind of drama and stress in my life. I am much happier now and I hear that she is having a hard time ever since I left. All I can say is what goes around comes around. She is getting what she deserves!

well you don't have to relate with this kind of people, you don't need it, but if you have to relate to them just play the same mind games.

Play dumb like you don't know what's going on. If they are lying to you just play along with it. If they try to play mind games on you just go a long with it or if you're clever turn it back on them. That's how I deal with them. If I don't want them talking to me anymore I'll just say things like "really?" and "no way" and "are you serious?" Then I walk away laughing to myself.

You can't just QUIT. But you don't have to take it to hart either. Try not to get involved in those games. Just do your work and get home. Safe and sound.

You don't. Those are the people you want to ignore. When they start talking to you just say, sorry but I have something important to do. Good luck.

you can't. so don't play into their petty rivalries. Leave them alone and hopefully they'll get the picture to do the same.
