i've already started packing. i'm scheduling for 8am tomorrow.
Honestly I don't think anyone can really answer that. If you are a person of faith then who knows other than when God decides. If your not then you rely on all the brilliance of scientits, at their guesses I would guess another millenia before we completely wipe out all resources from the earth. But until it comes to a complete end you have to be more specific, do you mean, end as in uninhabital and we have to leave it, or it completely is wiped out through some catastrophic event? in the question of catastrophic event i would say 5 billion years (look to my resource link).
IN RESPONSE TO...
WOLF: you claim that the sun will super nova in 9 thousand years due to universe facts. well you have AMAZING universe facts considering that our sun will NEVER become a super nova. even if it it where a star that would super nova it wouldn't dry up our water. come on, do you know what a super nova is? if our sun exploded then there would be so much energy released that earth would more than likely be completely devasted to the point of utter inhabitation, oh and dry up our water.

The world is not coming to an end only as you and I know it. If the earth is one of few habitabal planets in a lets say 10-100 million mile radius and the planet is too cool for the future colonies from the stars. Maybe the future inhabitants are smart enough to promote global warming and once we are gone they will be able to open their space hatches and step out into air they can breath without the use of their life support systems and well, we just aren't aclimated to live in the hot, acrid air that will result in our death if it isn't stopped. That explains why we do not see any action to stop what we know for fact to facilitate or expidite the global warming trend. We might be like the turkeys in the rain, looking up and opening our mouths and going, what is that gulp, gulp.

In about 2.5 billion years, the sun will have used up all the Hydrogen in it's atmosphere and cease to produce more helium...when this happens, the sun will explode...chances are humans will be long gone before the earth actually ends...how far before? I think only time will tell.

In an other 9,000 years our sun will supper nova: with this inset all of earths water will dry up and then all plant and animal life will die and soon earth will look like the moon with very little atmosphere left. I hope humen kind will have found a new world to live on.

Biblically, there is no known answer. The Bible states that only God knows the answer to that question. The best thing to do is to plan to live forever, but live as though you will die today.
Otherwise, there is a debate about whether the universe is finite or infinite. See the Wikipedia article I've included for information on scientists' theories.

The people may kill themselves off but that doesn't mean the earth is going anywhere. Without the people the earth will find time to mend itself again.

it won't take too long. after the oil wars it will be water. search for info on water use versus replenishment and you will understand. another great resource is Plan B: Rescuing a Planet Under Stress and a Civilization in Trouble by: Lester R. Brown
