You can invest at any age and pretty much at any price. If you go to www.msn.com they have an awesome article about beginner investing. They take you step by step and it's very informative and interesting.

I think most places won't let you invest till your 18, just for contractual reasons. However, if you can get your parents to co-sign then you may be able to invest. Check out the low cost online investing at scottrade.com or ameritrade.com. The best thing you can do right now is wait and learn about investing, so that when you do invest you won't lose your money. Even the best investors are getting skunked in this market funk.

In order to have your own account with a brokerage you probably have to be at least 18. It may be 21. You can call one of the many brokerages to find out.
