I believe wearing a flower behind the left ear means you are taken, behind the right ear means you are available.

oOo yeah i had my ex girlfriend tell me this a couple times cause i keep forgetting. single girls wear the flower on the right side and married girls wear it on the left

I believe, more a guess, it would be on the right, away from the heart. Indicates her heart is not committed.
