Do famous people get paid to much?

Hey we all wish we could get paid too much for what we do all im saying is damn there $$$ is ridculous I mean it is basically the #1 American dream all bcuz of the money, I like sum people myself im not hating and im not saying anything bad about them but i am saying out of all the money in this world they make alot and it just seeems like so should others!

I no it is not their choice really i mean they dont tell theirselves how much they get i mean i have contributed to concerts and things but all i mean is things like that shouldnt cost a ton or that others that work should get paid alot too i dont care that that get paid too much but most um them spend it on unnessacary things which is their own buisness ! I just think if i made that much money i would help the world out a little more what else are you living for, i am not a crazed fan but damn give them somthing they made you rich! lol

i say as long as its honest and no one is holding them hostage to pay more, take what you can get

yes they get way overpaid for just getting lucky and having good looks. Plus they get paid millions and still complain and moan. I loved the show Friends but it really upset me when they all up and decided to not renew a contract just because a million + per episode wasn't enough. It's really disgusting what money can do to some people and they get way too much attention from the press. Honestly I don't care if Britney Spears is pregnant again and I really couldn't care less about what Paris Hilton is doing. Why do people read this garbage? Leave them alone, it's bad enough they have everything they could want and more. Actually it's probably good the press does bother them and upset their so called 'normal' life, I guess that's the price they pay for being so rich and famous. To me it's just not a reality world.

Yeah definitely. But it depends on who the famous person is. If it's someone like Bill Gates I wouldn't say that he gets paid too much since he needs a lot of the money for Microsoft. He also gives a lot of the money that he earns to charities so i wouldn't think so. But if someone like Brittany Spears than i would say yes that she does get paid too much.

I guess you have to figure out whos actually paying them. That answer is you and everyone else that goes to a movie, concert, baseball game, basketball game, etc... Rising population means that there are more people interested in more things. Motley Crue and other hair bands made millions in the 80's and now its Usher, 50cent and other rap artists. Ticket prices have gone up on everything. 50 years ago 2 million people went to a movie for 25 cents and now 20million people go to a movie for 6 to 8 dollars. lets not forget there was no such thing as Blockbuster or Netflix and other video rental places years ago. Every time you pay to see Tom Cruise, Bret Favre,Maria Carey, etc... you are paying them! So I guess they only get paid as much as we want to pay them. If you dont like Tom Cruise or Green bay Packers or 50cent your not going to pay to see them. No fans = No paycheck!

some people are overpaid I think. I mean there is so many people out there without any talent and they just get paid because they are beautiful or because they take their clothes off. Oh well I guess there is something for everyone. Always someone who will be willing to pay someonle like this some money.

What do they do to earn all the money? What about stay at home mothers? What about the hard working class of America- Yeah, famous people are like politicians, they get paid obscene amounts of money for nothing. Hope this helps.

Probably, but they have a lot to deal with too. Could you imagin having people following you around everywhere you go all the time just to take pictures of you. I do think they get paid more than they should, but as long as they give some back to the community then I think they deserve it

On the one hand, yes. They get paid ridiculously large amounts that could probably feed a small impoverished nation for a year.

But on the other hand, we're the ones that keep paying the ticket prices to see their movies and subscribing to the cable channels that host their TV shows. If there wasn't a market for their work, there wouldn't be those huge salaries.

I guess so but a lot of them end up killing themselves or die of "natural causes" (intoxication or drug abuse). You can not buy happiness either way. I think all the fame, money and of course the paparazzi gets to their heads and messes them up one way or another so I really don't care if they get paid way too much as long as I live a happy life they can get whatever money to keep their lives as an open window the rest of the world which i'd rather keep my life to myself than share it like they have to do. Think about it there's always pros and cons to everything.

YES YES YES! Today celeberties are getting millions and millions of dollars! It is not fair, because a lot of normal people want to become a celebrity but it is 1 in a million chance to become one.
