If you think you lost the baby, a pregnancy test is not a good indicator!! It tests for a hormone that elevates as your pregnancy progresses. If you did lose the baby, a pregnancy test could continue to show a false positive for a couple of months after the fact. It will still show positive at any elevated amount of the hormone (that is why pregnancy tests boast they have the earliest detection levels).
If you did miscarry, you would have bleeding and cramping even at 5 weeks. You would also have other indications of losing the baby.
In any case, you need to confirm it with a doctor. They will test the hormone level and they will compare how far along you were with the level. If it doesn't match up, then you will be sure.

It can take several weeks for the body to finish expelling a miscarriage. Sometimes, if the ovum is blighted, the uterus retains it's fluid. Even if you've bled, you may need to have an ultrasound to ensure no tissues were retained that can cause infection and infertility.
I am very sorry to hear about your loss and I hope you have a healthy pregnancy three months from now when your body and mind and heart have healed from this tragedy.

if you are 5 weeks and you think you might have lost your baby then you should go to the doctor and tell him your concerns and get a check up to make sure that you are ok and whether or not you lost your baby.

If you lost the baby you would be bleeding a lot. If you think you have lost it then go see a doctor. You never know what the cause was...

If you think you lost it, you need to make an appointment at the doctor. They could possibly do a sonogram to find out. I am unsure how long the pregnancy hormones will remain in your system.

As long as you still have the baby inside of you, it will show positive...if you suspect that that you may have lost the baby, you should seek medical help immediately...you can get septis by having a dead baby inside of you
