"I LIKE YOU A LOT BUT I AM NOT READY FOR A RELATIONSHIP"

My (ex) boyfriend said this to me after I wanted to get back with him. We broke up because I said some really mean stuff to him..

Regardless of what was said and done, his heart obviously wasn't in the place you might have wanted it to be. For one..YOU asked HIM back (not the other way around). For another..every couple get's in arguments and has said something at one time or another that they shouldn't have. But if both parties want the relationship to work, they'll forgive the comments and proceed. Do yourself a favor and move on from this guy.

Probably that the mean stuff you said to him still hurts. While the time he spent with you was great, he's not so sure he can deal with the emotional edge of your personality.

He's not ready. He's your ex. You said something(s) mean to him for probably a good reason. Stop moping around. Get out there and either find another guy or take some time off from relationships and do something for yourself.

I'm in the same boat he loves me and misses me but don't think he could come back because of the things i said to him when i found out he was leaving.. Go on I know its hard and i am still trying to ell myself he is not worth crying or thinking about. Good luck. things happen for a reason we might never know why but they do!

roonie's right on the money! give her the 10 points.

any ex will sleep with you. the beauty of saying he still likes you is just to drag you along in the false hope that you might get back together. he just wants you around for sex if he needs it. don't give it to him. it's not worth the tangled web you'll weave.

It means there's someone else. If a boy gives you that lame, lame excuse it's because he's boning your best friend, and neither of them are telling you about it... Sorry, it's only the truth

Usually when guys say that they are just trying to say it in a nice way that they don't want to be with you anymore so that you won't get your feelings hurt. It's pretty much also saying, "I like you enough to sleep with you, but not enough to see you repeatedly". It sucks but that's just how they are...

i agree with roonie - he'll probably have sex with u, but doesn't want to go out with u anymore...which is not healthy for either of u, so i'd stay away...
