It sounds a lot like these big time carpet cleaning services. They offer you a low price to lure you in, and then when they arrive, sell you more stuff. For example, the Best store may say stuff like, "Well, the frames are dorky but you can upgrade for $29.99," or whatever. It would still be worth checking out though as you can always tell 'em to shove it.

most likely, either they mean two pairs of frames, or two pairs of lenses. You'll have to pay full price for one or the other. The free eye exam is always nice, though.

"Scottythecomic" makes a good point. A friend of mine responded to the YALDO Eye Institute ad on TV which said it would cost something like $250.00 to correct his vision problem.
BOTTOM LINE; He paid $1500.00 for ONE eye. $3000.00 for both eyes. A far cry from $250.00. Find out about the small print before making an appt. and if you do decide to go there. Just answer "no thanks" to any sales pitch. Works for me!

big difference between an optometrist and an ophthalmologist.
If it's just frames and lenses you need, try WalMart (and don't say you wouldn't be caught there).
