I TOTALLY agree! A few Christmases ago, the Black merchants in a local mall had signs in their windows like "owned by African Americans." If the whites had put signs in THEIR windows that said "owned by Whites," there would have been protests. Why is it that people don't think that Blacks can be racists, too? Why do people think that the pendulum has to swing to the opposite side before we can be equal? Seems to me it just divides and creates tension.

ok, first of all I'm black, and I think that's a good question. But, what you have to remember is that Black people have gone through alot and they deserve to have something such as BET. When you turn on the television, lets say Lifetime or something, for the most part all you're seeing is white faces. And even on commercials. BLack people just want to have a channel they can go to where they can see more of they're kind. I mean I have no problem seeing a white face when I turn on the television, but I think it would be nice to see more black people, more asian people, more mexicans, but I dont think it will happen in this lifetime. So, BET is pretty much all we have for now. Hope I helped a little.

There is no WET because the other 149 channels are white entertainment already. Good point, though. Everybody would be screaming racisim if there was an actual network.

The world is white entertainment. Cant we have something for ourselves. It's not like you cant watch BET. Lifetime is just for women(and gay guys). Is that bad too? What about ESPN for the sports nuts?

Many things are that way like the ***** college fund and the black-only colleges like Tuskeege Institute or black history month. I think it is racism, just not in the way people think of as common.
