Seagulls are generaly considered as scavengers.....do they eat any food from the sea? Or are the easy pickings of chips, kebabs etc too easy to get there beaks on for them to bother with trying to catch fresh fish?

Rats with wings, just like pigeons. As for their diet, I haven't seen many feeding on fish, but they seem to like shellfish, it's pretty cool to watch them drop the clams (or whatever) on rocks or pavement to crack the open.
