i always do it when i yawn and never knew what the reflex was called

I believe it is called "gleeking". When I was in school a lot of the other kids would try to do it on purpose. It happens when you push your tongue on the bottom of your mouth in a fast motion when you have a puddle of saliva in your mouth. You can accidentally do this even when talking to someone. Best thing to do would be to be careful you either don't have too much saliva in the bottom of your mouth or be careful with your tongue.
