Apart from having a striker problem, i do not think it would be wise to play 3 in midfield as portugal would rip us apart and we would spend more time defending deep, He should stick to the best formation around an attacking 4-4-2

Since Eriksson, we have had the best track record ever. And the day we accept that we dont have a brazilian squad, we might understand that we have to play according to our strengths. The only way England can reach the final, is by playing our game and by having a little bit of luck.

4-3-3..hmm that would be intesting because england do not have any good strikers left and erikson wont bring on theo walcott in q-finals.so i think he will stick to 4-4-2 and hope england will some how scrape through
