It's called Loyalty. No one has it any more. I have tried to instill it in my children that no matter what, family will be there for you. And family come first! If your not a loyal person you have nothing!

Life - life is the one thing that we can look at and say: at this point things start to have meaning, if only for the beings that are living that life. Go any further back the evolutionary scale and you just have non-living matter that has no purpose and merely is - go any further up, like into our own minds, and there are simply way too many things to care about (just look at all the different answers people have given, which are all their own views of what is most important). Life is the one thing I think any living thing could agree on as being most important, since without it, there is nothing at all worth caring about.
