I'm planning to use an OS 40LA or OS 10FP for my small VTOL project, can I place it facing up and not damage their bushings? will the fuel drawn to the carburetor be more lean if i place the tank directly below the engine?

Me nor my dad own either engine. ...but I can tell you this...placing the engine face up will most likely be hard on the bushings and the bushings can be damaged. As for the fuel draw, your fuel tank should be placed in-line (same height, as close as possible) with the needle valve. Keep in mind you don't want the engine to run too lean as this will damage it. Sounds like a cool project. Good Luck!
