because smoking was customarily done out of pipes untill the french invented the cigarette, theres a museum dedicated to it in Bergerac France, yes, I've been there

Smoking was learned by the early English from the American Indians . Sir Walter Raleigh was the one who first introduced the habit to the Europeans.
At a banquet in London Raleigh was smoking his pipe. A waiter, having never seen a person smoking a pipe thought that he was on fire. The waiter douced Raleigh with a pitcher of beer.
I never heard that the French smoke any more than others.

since the begining of time man has always searched for a buzz, even jesus turned water to wine. that is also why pot became so enjoyed, it is man looking for a good buzz
