i was addicted to myspace, really it ruled my life...so i deleted my account b/c i was tired of being tied to the computer and now i come across yahoo answers and i'm starting to get addicted....why am i so addicted to this crap?

It gives you something to do. Instead of just reading someones blog where they do nothing but complain you can actually read questions that others have (some may be stupid though) and possibly help them out. I myself got tired of myspace with all the childish bull crap. This isn't so bad

It's fun! who doesnt love it? I guess you just have to find another addiction thats better for you, like for me its diet coke! if I don't come on here. I get a diet coke! Hurray.

I think there might be some giant conspiracy to make us all buy yahoo products....like yahoo cup holders or yahoo pens&penciles. well, just a theory. Either that, or its the middle of the summer with nothing to do, and this is ur only contact to the outside world from the suburbs....

I think it is part entertainment and wanting to know if most people think the same as you. and part is actually wanting to help someone who has a problem and no one to talk to. I hate seeing young (Under 18) kids asking sex questions. I know there are predators just waiting to take advantage of them, Overall I think it is a pretty good forum. You see the worst of human nature and the Best. I really enjoy it. It has been a learning experience for me.

Maybe because it's like crack for smart people or people that think they are smart. It's just that some people think they have all the answers but that is a good question and I hope my answer suits it.
