We go to Destin, Florida every year. Both my kids went as 1 1/2 year olds and they loved playing in the sand. They've been every year, now they are 4 and 7 and they still love the beach. Of course, it depends on how far you are from there - and if you even like the beach. Every family is different!

The answser probably depends upon where you live.
Zoos are always a good bet. Many have other attractions besides just looking at animals.
Look for a nice waterpark. Those are loads of fun, and probably compared to large amusement parks, not too expensive. And, the whole family can have fun, even Dads!
When we were little (there were 6 of us) my parents took us to Virginia Beach. We swam all day and had a blast.
Look for outdoor festivals, too. They are usually free to get into, then, you pay for your meals and drinks from the vendors.

Where do you live at, and how far are you willing to travel? I'd say Disney World, but im not sure how fun it would be with a 1 year old. Maybe just go to the beach, where your baby can play with the sand and toys! Just be sure to use sunscreen :)

Disneyland is a good one for those ages and of coarse yourself. Going to beach is good, too. I took my first child to Disneyland and she loved it, specially Its a Small World. We had to go a few more time. Oh, It gets cold in there so make sure diaper is dry on little one.

Well, for a three-day jaunt, chattanooga is kind of cool. The Chattanooga Choo Choo is fun, plus their very good aquarium and a host of other parks.
