I had the unpleasant experience of seeing Star Jones coming out to the Ivy in LA in 2005. It was so strange, she had her hanger-ons and she did the kiss kiss then the wave to the crowd. People weren't really admiring her they we're just watching her show off. That's LA. What a farse. She got too big for her britches, shes no Oprah. Besides TV journalist shouldn't become celebrities. They are a bunch of hams. Unfortunately, they will not go away because their egos won't let them.

When I heard that she was actually released from the show, I was surprised. However, when I heard that Rosie would be on the show, I was shocked. Rosie has a tendency to rule or overshadow others, which I feel may happen on this panel. Star seemed to be an adequate member of the show, and I am concerned that there will not be a representative from another culture of our society.

What the H@ll is she supposed to do know? She did'nt do anything else. To be quite frank thats all I saw her do she wasn't real appealling on the show anyway, now she's lost the wieght to. Maybe she could find another Job it ashame they just kick her off the show, they told her it was her last day the day before what AssHoles!!!!!

But she better find a new Job.

i didnt like star from the beginning and dont like her now. why try and hide the fact you had surgery for weight loss? big deal if you did-its your decision but dont lie about it-makes you look like a fool. she looks awful. looked better fat. i like rosie. i like the fact that shes strongly opinionated and will put it in your face! so shes gay-im sure alot more celebs are and we just dont know it yet. the truth always comes out-no pun intended. would like it if i never had to look at star jones again --ugh!

I didn't hear an announcement, but if she announced that she's decided to disappear off the face of the earth, then I'd be happy to hear the annuoncement. Thank you.

I think it is too bad she is leaving the show. I can't stand Rosie and I think the show will go off the air after she starts.

By the way, where is the proof Star's husband is gay?

I have no opinion, Star Jones is nothing more than a self-important pseudo-celebrity. Let her fade into obscurity.....or her own day time talk show...

I think she is leaving because Rosie O'Donnel is gay. Stupid as it is, I believe that is the reason. I think they are gonna offer her position to Oprah's friend Gayle.

I think it is hilarious! Its even funnier that today they booted her instead of letting her finish out the season like intended!
