no I don't believe in euthanasia (assisted suicide ) were there is life there is hope .....and don't think it fair on the person having to assist ..pain management these days is getting better what if you helped someone to die and the next day there was a cure...and to comparing us to the animals .. Had dog with arthritis everyone thought I was cruel to keep him alive he was on pain management would you like to be put out of your misery for that don't think so ...but it could happen ...don't think anyone really want to die ...but hope I never in that situation so really does my opinion count ..

This has started a lil debate withen my family and the majority believe as I do.....That we would want to go ahead of the pain. Just think if you have cancer and its in its last stages. No pain meds kill the knawing pain. And you know there is absoutly no hope of them cureing you or you going into remission. All the chemo has taken its toll on your frail body. IS it really considered Murder to relieve a pain that Medcine cant even relieve ? NO murder its not, we put a animal out of its pain but yet a human who feels the most pain must be allowed to suffer? Sucide, well that would be more of a fitting term for the ones who cant let the person suffering go. I dont consider it Murder nor do I consider it sucide. I consider it the persons own choice that should be honored. Who are we to say to the person that you must lay and suffer because that means your with us one minute longer. To me its the same as a living will, that is honored even when we dont agree with that . SO eithanasia should be legal and there should be some sort of paper drawn up as with the living will.

Each case has it's own merit. There is no one answer. To be so ill that you want to die has to be the worst. To be stuck with no future but pain and death. The debate must be kept open and Doctors have to keep up finding new methods of saving people.

I believe that if someone is ready to die and is in a lot of pain, then yes let them die. Imagine yourself in their position. I would not call it murder as the patient is agreeing to die.

people should have control over their own destiny. when life becomes to painful and/or there is no quality of life then they should be able to take their own life. however having said this, there must be stringent checks in place to ensure that the person wanting to die hasn't been bullied into it. death should be a right, as well as life!

my sister died of cancer, she was 36, she died in pain. if she had ask me to help her die, i would of done, even though (i) did`nt wont to lose her (still don`t) if you see a bird dieing in the road with its guts out and no chance of surviving, (what would you do?) as far as suicide is concern. (personally) i find it hard to understand how anyone can even think of this, life can be bad sometimes, but theres always tomorrow, and i do believe, life is worth living.no matter how bad it seems at the time. your never really alone, you just think! you are.

If an animal is hurt you put it down to ease their misery of pain
I know if I was in serious pain and there was nothing no-one can do expet gave me pain killers all the time and Im stuck in bed all day - I would want to go.

1) i think murder is messed up to the MAX
2) i think suicide is VERY sad, knowing someone was not happy with their life, and they wanted to end it themselves
3) i think death is sad, when theres nothing u can do to save the person. but i believe, it is the best way because its not done forcefully. they have to have a reason, such as cancer, to die, or even old age.

I regard euthanasia as assisted suicide. How can people who are againt it be so cruel to their fellow humans. If you forced these people to watch their beloved pet die in agony, they would be horrified.Disregard the bible-thumpers,that crowd would be happy to burn you at the stake,'to save your soul,'.The rest of us could have a rational debate on this issue. If members of my family allowed me to die in agony,I would curse them with my dying breath.

Yeah I go along with it but there must be some safeguards and our present corrupt judicial system in no way can address the issues. With Judges on the take, shyster lawyers, and large inheritances, people are going be killed that don't need killing.
