well if you mean the world population, no, definitely not. A few countries have hd their populations decrease, like Russia, and several european populations will decrease if current birth and immigration rates continue, but most countries are adding people all the time, unfortunately for the world's resources.

In the stone age, the population size was about 8 million as opposed to the 3 billion ( i.e. 300 million) present today.

Not that I know of. Our races feeds off our sexual drive so if anything, I think it's still increasing.
