I know how upsetting this is, I've experienced this many times over the years. I don't think there is much that can be done about it...sorry. I mean sure, you can try to please them by being more "fun" to be around, a better listener, more cool...etc. But you shouldn't have to work really hard at being friends, it takes an effort for sure, but you shouldn't have to go to extremes. I would concentrate on you and do things that make you happy. At the end of the day, you are your own best friend. Everything else will fall into place.

I wouldn't worry about it. Friends are the best thing that you can have. No matter whom is closer to whom. You've always got each other's back and are there for each other. That's what is important!

If they are true friends they do matter because they will be there for you no matter what occurs in your life of theirs. If it seems that they are closer maybe it's because they are able to spend more time with each other than you

I also have similar problem. It seems as if when I'm around they are the nicest people; when I'm out, they always say all what i considered it's a secret to each other. I am now afraid of these friends. After reasoning how delicate it was, i decided to keep my secret by myself and be nice to them as a friend.

They say two's company, three's a crowd. Sometimes it can work, sometimes it can't, it depends on the personalities involved. I had two best friends when I was young but one of the girls, let's call her 'A', could come to my house alone and go to the other girls, lets call her 'B', alone but if 'B' came to me alone....'A' would go ballistic about being 'left out'. Me and B became best friends and dropped 'A' as she ended up being a nightmare.

don't worry about it. best friends is a thing we all should grow out of anyway when we find a partner but being a friend to yourself is more important and having lots of friends is better than only two! Don't depend on freindship to get you through life. you need to be your own best friend to do that. my family are more important to me than my friends.
