I have seen people drop meat on the floor at McDonalds and still serve it to the drive thru customers.
A guy I used to work with at Baskin Robbins used to put the spoons down the crack of his behind and only serve these spoons to really pretty girls in the neighborhood who won't talk to him outside of work. It was kind of sick to see the pleasure he would get to see them put the spoon in their mouth. He was kind of strange....I may need to look him up, he may be a serial killer by now. LOL

That Baskin Robbins story is hil-f*cking-arious!

I worked at an all-you-can-eat place that NEVER threw anything away. They'd scrape mold off the top of buckets of gravy! They had this dessert called "brownie cake," they took all the old stale rolls, pie, cake, etc. and ground it all together, added cocoa and eggs and baked brownies. I was never required to get a food handlers permit. Needless to say, they're no longer in business.

I worked at a Mexican food restaraunt as a bus boy. One night one of the line-cook's gay boyfriends (apparently after they had a big falling out) came into the kitchen high on some crazy drug. He was ranting and crazed. To prove his love to the line-cook, he thew his arms into the deep fryer. Use your imagination. Oh snap!!!

Another time, there, a customer slapped a very nice waitress on the butt and was extremely rude to her, so several of us guys filled up a salsa bowl with spit, then mixed in a couple spoonfulls of salsa and served it to him. Heh

I used to work at Quiznos when I was in high school. We had little fridges under the sandwich making place with extra stuff in it. One day, my manager opened the fridge and a tupperware thing full of sliced bell peppers fell out. The top wasn't on very well, so the peppers went everywhere. He looked around, and then kicked them back into the container with his shoe and put them back.... I promptly quit, and will never eat at Quiznos again. BARF!

It is perfectly customary for Mexican restaurants to re-use chips and salsa. The salsa is pretty gross because you know that people are double- dipping their chips into it. Recycled chips are not that much better. Most chain restaurants like Acapulco and El Torito do not recycle, but watch out for the independent places.

I worked as a bus boy and we scraped all the unused butter off the dirty plates into a bowl. all of the dirty wine glasses were placed upside down in a rack and the waste wine would drain into the bowl of waste butter and the cooks would use the butter in their recipes.
