In order to do that you would need 2 Ethernet Adapters 1 wireless, and 1 ethernet. So you would connect the router to the main PC via the wire and share the connection via the wireless adapter.
This will bring you more headaches than what you have already btw, the pc needs to be on at all times for one, you have to be very tech savy for this.
Chances are that your connection is not being stupid, it's just the programming is off. Your modem is also a router, so chances are that you have a router also which they are conflicting you get internet for a few minutes if not hours then bam all are off.....
Simple fix, you need to set the DSL modem as a MODEM ONLY and disable the router function and use the Router for the sharing. You would have to go into expert mode on the modem and go from there.

If you are using Windows XP you should try internet connection sharing. Basically you can have that 1 PC act as a router. Below is the link from Microsoft that will walk you through setting it up. You'll need 2 network cards. 1 ethernet from the modem and 1 wireless PCI nic for the wireless connections.

You'll need what's called a 'wireless router'. I don't know if you have cable or DSL, but you'll want to get a router specific to your internet connection. You'll also need a wireless adapter for each of your computers. If you have laptops, you can purchase wireless cards instead. From there, the router and the wireless adapters should come with instructions on how to set it up.
Hope this helps.

What do you mean by 5 computers online separately? Each one has its own broadband connection? Probably not. The link should be Wall, broadband modem, wireless router, wireless connection to all 5 computers. If you are running WinXP (which I assume you are) this is quite easy to do. start --> control panel -->wireless network setup wizard.
Hope this helps.

You need wireless switch and every computer needs to have wireless network card.
You have two or more options how to implement that.
First and best way is to install server on one of the computers and create domain with Routing and Remote access service.
Second is to create workgroup and share internet network card.
If you need help contact me.
