Some guys could be intimidated by that sort of thing. I personally am turned on by it. Just go for it. Say something like, "Hey. What are you doing later? How 'bout we go ... or something like that?" I don't know how old you are, but drinks are always a good icebreaker. Dinner and drinks or dinner and a movie. Somebody else mentioned tickets. That's a pretty good approach if it works. If not, you're stuck with two tickets. If you limit it to no pre asking spending, you have nothing to lose, so GO FOR IT! (and be confident, like it's a great idea).

You don't! Make HIM ask YOU out! Get to know him first, be a little flirty. Let him know you like him in different ways but make him come to you!

try talking to him first for a bit and ask if he would like to go get something to eat/drink and get to know each other while eating and whatever you have in common ask if he would like to get together and do.

Have somewhere specific in mind. "Hey, I've got two tickets to the game [play, concert, movies] on Saturday, wanna come?"

Be original, be funny if you have to...but most of all be yourself and be confident....I don't mean scary, confident, I mean smile say hi and start alittle conversation...you never know how far that will go~$
