My daily commute to work is 1.5 hours each way. Any suggestions on what audiobooks, podcasts, etc I can listen to to make it less boring? Thanks.

I am driving, so I can only pass time by listening to something. Also, "work" is actually a 3-month internship that I worked very hard to get, so I can't find work closer to home either. Thanks!

Mystery novels on tape are great. If you get sucked into the plot, you almost don't want to stop driving. My dad and I used to listen to a series by Elizabeth Peters whenever I was driving my stuff from my home in MD to college at Vanderbilt, a 14 hour drive. The series is about a woman, Ms. Amelia Peabody, who gets into Egyptology. The books are light and fun murder mysteries, and the narrator is excellent. There are quite a few audiobooks in the series, so you will not run out of books too quickly. Happy driving!

Audiobooks-Chronicles of Narnia, Cheaper by the Dozen (original version), Bible on tape or CD.

Podcasts - White House pod downloads, Calvary Chapel downloads, or use an MP3 player and the world of internet downloads really opens up to unlimited music, stories and information.

As a post script I moved closer to my work (or find work nearer to your home...a slight paycut is worth it)...kinda hated the 3 hours wasted daily....I am more relaxed when I get home...just an idea from my own experience
