It depends on the guy. I know some kids that started earlier than 15 because their bodies were already devloped to the point that they could support more muscle. But, there are many kids whose bodies cannot go through body building at the age of 15. If you have already reached your peak height, you are at a perfect age to start. You'll also find that if you start too early, the bodybuilding process will be much harder than it would be if your body was ready for it. You won't be able to gain mass and you risk getting hurt. Don't hesitate to ask your doctor & training coach.

I grew up in a small farming community before all the fancy machinery they have now. I bucked hay all the way through high school. It's not the same as you're talking about but it is definitely working out and not just for an hour or two. It's an 8 hr a day job. Bails can weigh as much as 120 lbs. and you through them one right after another. Sometimes up to 5 tiers above your head. That would be about 4 1/2 to 5 ft. I am still in good shape because of that. It did not stunt my growth. when I was 15, I grew 9 in. in one school year. Go for the gusto my friend, just use you head.

It can be but like most things it should be done in moderation, also heavy lifting and to much of it can also stunt your growth. Have you ever noticed that gymnast are tiny? And if you decide to use a product such as protein shakes and such that can be purchased at GNC I would recommend you talk to your parents and ask your doctor. Asking your parents about supplements may not be a fun idea to you but they may support your effort for body building.

Yes, but you should start out with a trainer who can teach you how much weight to lift, how to lift properly, and how to build gradually. All the big guys started around 15/16. Getting a trainer now is cheaper than getting an injury later. Also, be sure it's ok with your parents - a good trainer will require a parent's signature.

working out is one thing, body building could stunt your growth. I think working out is fine, but wait a few more years before you start really getting into "body building" and stay away from muscle enhancers. You can always call your Dr. and ask what they recommend.

I think it's okay as long as you don't overdo it. Your body is still maturing at this age so don't expect to get the exact results you want. As you get older you can increase your workout but go ahead and start if you want! Good luck!

Yes, I started when i was 12. but make sure that he doesn't work out more then 3 times a week, otherwise he will not give his muscles time to repair like they are meant to.

well, personally i would start out light and slowly increase the weight over time. dont forget you as a male will still be growning until you hit at least 18 years old and you do not want to put undue stress on your joints.
