I have also just started the birth control pill. My period is not heavy, it was normal for the first week or so but now its really thick, and funny colored, almost like a brown, it has never been like this before.

I would go to the DR cause you could still be pregnant lots of woman have their period while they are pregnant. the reason you are bleeding so much could also have something to do with your birth control pill but if i were you i would go see a DR ASAP just in case there was something wrong

You need to call your doctor and go in to see them. If you think you are pregnant you should NOT be taking a birth control pill.
with a period lasting this long, it needs to be checked out also. Being that it's turning a brown color, that usually means it is "old" blood, but again...call your doctor and get checked out.
You might need to change birth control pills and unless you see your doctor you won't know this.

I am thinking either hormones from your bc pills are out of wack, or a miscarriage. See your doc, asap.

i know someone that was pregant but still got her period in the early weeks.

It could be your body adjusting to the BCP. You should talk to you doc just to be sure.
