a pocket knife with a serrated edge and a change of clothes, with that the island would probably provide anything else I needed to survive

a water purifier, because bringing fresh water is great until you run out. and probably a satellite cell phone, one that works anywhere in the world and always has a signal. then i'd just sip my water and wait for the coast guard to come pick me up!
edit-brittney h, you can't drink salt water...you'll dehydrate from all the SALT in it.
