depends on what kind of car and how it was taking care of

It depends on whether or not it is an import, and how it was taken care of, meaning; were the fluids changed regularly, have the spark plugs and wires been changed, has the timing belt ever been changed? was it adult driven? These are all factors that need to be considered. Most Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, vehicles can withstand high mileage, however, most domestic vehicles cannot. It has been my experience that with a domestic vehicle 187,000 miles the life of the vehicle is close to over. Problems, problems, and more problems is probably what you will have out of a domestic vehicle with that kind of mileage. It probably sounds un-American but, it's true.

Depends on what kind of car you are talking about and what type of mileage does it have? i mean, is it mostly highway miles? Highway is less strain on the engine and miles mean very little. City miles are harder on an engine because of the stop and go traffic will wear ean engine down. Most foreign cars built will last you longer than a domestic vehicle, but, and this is a big question too. How was the car maintained? was the oil changed frequently? Was the timing belt replaced? was the brakes always inspected or the suspension and aligment checked regulary? This has a lot tot do with any car on the street. You neglect them and it will be dead in 50k, you maintain them and they will or can last to more than 300k.
good luck

For a couple hundred...no. Really depends on year, make, model and what was already replaced on the car. If you're looking for something dependable that you won't have to put a lot of money into, I'd stay away from a vehicle with this many miles on it.

That depends on how well it has been taken care of, and how hard it was driven. Has the oil been changed CONSISTENTLY every 3000 miles? Was car used to drag race/street race? If it has been taken care of then it is fine. I have 95 lumina with 175,000 + miles on it, and still runs great. Only had to replace an alternator, once on it.

It' depends on what type of miles... if it's highway miles thats fine but if there local miles thats bad. you can usually tell by the way the car and the engine looks. (if you decide to buy it first things first change the timing belt or chain which ever it may be)

it all depend on what year the car is and what kind of a car it is, I got a 89 Geo spectrum and it had 29 miles on it when i brought it new and now it got 320,000 miles on it and it still run, but i got it park now cuz it leak oil, but later on i am gonna get me a new motor for it and maybe i can get another 300,000 miles on it.

It really depends on what year the car is but usually that is pretty bad. If you are buying it with that that is bad you should look for another car with under 50k.
