Oxygen is carried in the blood. The oxygen transfers from the atmosphere to your blood through an exchange in your lungs...

A fish's gills accomplish the same thing, but they get the oxygen from the water.

The Respiratory organs recieve a large supply of blood, as the respiratory organs get fresh fresh Air (Carrying oxygen ) and the blood they get is impure (Carrying Carbon Dioxide), so when the blood reaches there, the exchange of gases takes place there and the CO2 is given out from the blood and O2 is taken in... and then the blood goes to the heart and is pumped to rest of the body parts, this blood takes the CO2 from the body parts and supplies the oxygen to them (So that it can be synthesised to make energy), then this blood (Carrying CO2) goes to heart and this is again pumped to the respiratory organs where the CO2 is again given out and O is taken.......... and this cycle goes on...

The exchange of blood gases take place in the pulmonary systems of both fish and man. It is here where oxygen is picked up by the blood and carbon dioxide is expelled.

this is because the rate of requirement of energy in humans and
fish is very high .hence a large amt of oxygen is required.since
oxygen is taken from respiratory organs such as lungs in humans hence a continous blood flow is required to aborb this oxygen

The organ if it would not get sufficient blood flow the organ will finally die and the blood clot has a probability to break of and holiday to elsewhere on your body causing that organ to die. nicely your reproductive organs would die
