Here's a good way to figure out the culprit. First, inspect the distributor cap for any obvious signs of damage. If it's ok, then just wait until the next time it's damp and the light comes on, and take the car to your local AutoZone or similar store. They will check the trouble codes for you, and enable you to determine what is causing the check engine light to come on.
I'm thinking the moist weather is causing a weak or bad sensor (oxygen sensor, mass airflow sensor, etc) to fail completely, causing the light to come on. Eventually the part will fail permanently, and the light will stay on all the time. Have them check it for you...they'll tell you what's wrong and the cost of a replacement part.
Hope this helped.

Yes , and your right its probably wires and or cap/ but there is a chance water is getting into some other connection, me I'd do the maintence stuff first(wires , cap) if I still had a prob. I'd go get it scanned for code(s) But reallly since I'm a tech, I'd cheat and scan it myself first, a missfire code would be wires

Check the codes it gives you. My jeep does this too. And it gives the O2 sensor code everytime. The connector was worn and moisture would get in there and cause a slight malfunction in the connection. I covered it in liquid electrical tape around the connection. Problem solved.
