Well, I cant chew gum and walk at the same time...Its pretty hard to read something and listen to music at the same time.

The radio creates a distraction when you are trying to concentrate on a very important decision. People like to commit all there thought process on important decisions.

For the same reason that you should not use your mobile when driving - your concentration wanders to the radio in your case or the mobile in mine................
