In Texas, there is a certain holiday called Juneteenth, can anyone tell me why they have that? I am from Texas so you aint informing me, but does anyone know??

Juneteenth isn't just celebrated in Texas. It's a holiday on June 19th to celebrate the abolition of slavery in the American South.

June 19--it's the African American Emancipation Day (started in Galveston, TX)

It's for black people.....and just so happens that I have a cousin that has his bday on juneteenth....it's the 19th....

It's not just for "black people"...

It's a celebration of the abolition of slavery...Something everyone should be happy about.
