It depends on what kind of noise you're talking about.
Did you turn your drums or rotors (you didn't say front or back) and if so, did you just do a rough cut or a finish cut?
Depending on the cut that was done, it make take a bit of driving for the brakes to 'seat' against the metal of the drums/rotors.
If you are hearing a mild clacking noise and it is your front brakes (rotors) then the retainer clips are probably not on like they should be.
More details would get better information...good luck.

Hope you didnt waste your money on a cheap no name brand of brake pads. No matter what or how much you try, the noise wiull never go away. Buy some good quality brand name pads and reinstall with the anti squeak compond on the rear of the pads too. Resurface the rotors if they are still within specs, this will true them and eliminate any pedal vibrations.
Good Luck

All the other answers are correct. Since u didnt specify what type of braking system u have or what parts youve changed it could be a combination the above answers. As for what type of pads you used, its best to always use ceramic pads. They dont squeek/screech. Lower priced pads almost will always squeek. You get what you buy.

Check that the metal tab that gives off warning when your brakes are low is not bent into the rotor.

you didn't say if they were disc or drum but did you have the disc/drum turned and if it was the front disc did you put the anti squeak grease on the back of the pads?
