Glasgow Celtic from SCOTLAND becomes the first British team to win the European Cup back in 1967 when they defeated Internazionale Milan from ITALY 2-1. the victorious team was famously known as The Lisbon Lions.
since that victory, no other Scottish team has ever won the European Cup (or UEFA Champions' League as it is known now) todate.
