The answer is a bit long so stay with me...pollution causes the "Greenhouse Effect" in which gases like CO2 ride up into the atmosphere and warm up the planet (just like in a greenhouse). Global warming is also caused by the destruction of the ozone layer which protects us from cosmic radiation. Now because the planet is getting warmer the ice at the South Pole is melting thus releasing fresh water in the salt water of the oceans and this in turn causes the ocean currents to shift, moving backwards and this is why the climate is changeing.Ultimately global warming will lead to another ice age sooner than we might expect...some scientists say it could be in this century.

You yankees always whine about hot weather. Come south and try it here. Whenever I watch the Today show (broadcast from New York) they'll complain about how many 90 degree days theyve had in a row. Try coming here and living in 100 degree weather WITH the humidity. I personally like it, but I would hate having to hear some northeasterner be around me and cry about being hot.
