Empires fail because of one man...the emperor and China did pretty well for about 5,000 years. It was not forever but long outlasted the Romans. In a CIA report, it was said that within 15 years, China will be the leading nation of the world...so the decline of the US Empire seems written on the wall.

thats not an empire cuz the countries which have military bases are not controlled by the US government.

A lot of Countries let the U.S. send troops in, U.S. is not only Country to send troops places cause Ireland which is not a member of NATO at all did in fact have troops in Lebanon for Peacekeeping purposes.

no we are there to make sure that there is peace in the world the best we can. I was in Germany from 1986 - 1990 in the USAF and we do not control the country we simply defend it

No-it isn't, but we cannot afford to keep it up.we need to take care of our own country, and stop trying to influence the world by supporting it. The American people simply cannot afford it.
