This is pretty much an impossible question, because none of the drivers get that detailed about their personal lives. Politics is one of those things where people will love/hate you based on your own personal feelings toward it. Tony has never stated where he stands with politics, and he probably never will...the poor guy is already disliked by people based on his driving skills (although I think he's awesome) so what do you think would happen if he said where he stood with politics? People would go mad! lol!

Tony Stewart is a Republican and has said so openly in an interview with DW. Most of the NASCAR drivers, and crew are Republicans. To quote the King, Richard Petty: "You'd be hard pressed to find a Liberal Democrat around here (he was referring to the garage area) on race day"

Not sure about Stewart. I know Dale Jr is a Republican (I like him anyways, lol). I've taken the hint that most of the wealthy race car drivers are Republican. But Stewart sticks to his home town values and may possibly be Democrat, but I doubt it!!!!

He's self made, a winner, and doesn't tolerate idiots. He couldn't possibly be a Democrat.

well b/c ya know every driver is so open about EVERYTHING in their lives, and nascar is just a huge sport to talk politics.
uhmm, it's never really been stated factually by him. there have been the rumors, and of course the assumptions, but he's never really come out and said:
whose to say he's not independent?? and whose to say it really matters??
