Martin Scorcese's definitely the better director. I love the way he manipulates the eye with his cameras, using jolting angle shots & his "tick...tick...tick" use of time (there's always a clock or a phone ringing or something like that in his movies).
Incidentally, my favorite Scorcese film is "After Hours" - it was very complex & hilarious!

Both have enormous talents..but I feel Copolla is just a tad more worldly..
