Seinfeld. Hands down, it is the funniest sitcom ever made.

My favourite sitcom was "All in the Family." It addressed political, social, racial, financial, marital and many other controversial issues. I thought that it was a very well written adaptation of a slightly lower middle class North American family struggling to maintain dignity and self-respect whilst caught in a shroud of ignorance. Not to mention a group of incredible actors that pulled it off beautifully by making you laugh and cry at the same time.

It has to be "All in the Family".
Not only was it hysterical, it had very interesting things to say about bigotry, both by the rascist and the radical 1970's leftist society that was "against" everything traditional, whether right or wrong.
The show changed the face of television.
