Gods Favorite is his best play. Not done often because of an expensive set. But it is so heartfelt and just wonderful.
Best movie would be Odd Couple.

My favorite movie adaptation of a Neil Simon play has got to be "Barefoot in the Park" - Robert Redford was in his prime, and Jane Fonda was completely adorable in the film, which has strong supporting performances, too (Mildred Natwick and Charles Boyer).

The Odd Couple. The movie is a classic also. Simon's best work should be rated along side Miller, who I love and O Neill also.

I agree. The Goodbye Girl is my favorite Simon play and Dreyfuss is hilarious in it.
I also like Plaza Suite.

Brighton Beach Memoirs...Blanche is an amazing character with such great juicy monologues.
I dislike play to movie adaptions so I can't answer the second part.
But Blanche is great...I throughly enjoyed playing her...a challenge that is amazingly entertaining.
