is love at first sight true? i dont think so...?

Yeah it's true. For those who feel you have to grow into love, that's like saying you have to grow into a pair of shoes. If you see a great pair of shoes, you say I love them. You don't buy them, then when you've worn them for a bit decide you like them.
Love is not a tangible thing, and I believe it can happen instantly, but too many of us guard against feeling things we don't understand. I'm lucky. I felt this way about my wife straight away, and she felt the same. 18 years later and we're still married, so let go people, go with what you feel and see if it's true.

I don't know if I'd call it "love" but twice in my life (I'm 48) I met a woman and knew instantly that we were going to be significant in each others life. It's an overwhelming thing when it happens and it's totally out of your control. Both times, within 5 minutes of meeting her, I knew my life had just changed BIG TIME and both times I was right. I hope I get a 3rd before I end up on the wrong side of the grass.

I dont think it exists either. When you see someone for the first time, u dont see their personality, you see if they are hot or not. Lust at first sight, not love. Dont get me wrong though, I do believe in True Love and everything romantic, but u dont see what makes a person great by looking at them.

When we first meet someone we can work out with we like them or not within ten minutes so its not probably love at first sight but more a physical or emotional attraction

HI its nice to think of it being love at first sight. but if we are really honest its lust at first sight.how can you love someone you don't know?. when i first saw my husband he stopped my breath. wow i thought he was gorgeous.we feel in love very quickly. but that was because of allot of things. its was i like the tall dark handsome man. he is. he liked the leggy blond. i am. we both like people that had fun. we both did.there where allot more things we had in common. all this made we fall in-love so quickly. after two years we married.and are still happy very much in love.and i put that down to always looking after the thing that made us so attracted to each other.never let yourself go when you find you love. because you owe it to yourself and them. love and life is hard work but if you put the work into it.you reap the rewards. i have. best wishes sammylee,

Well, I believe is true. You have an instant conection with someone and it feels different than when you meet other people.
You may say is chemistry or perhaps you have met then in another life...what I say is that you have dreamed about this person and have designed them forever, and then you finally meet that person and it feels that your have already known them.

It is impossible to love someone at first sight. Love implies that you know the person. How can you know someone you just met/saw? I think it is lust at first sight.

No this is not possible, that would mean a relationship based on looks alone, and thats not love.

you can love someone from afar, possibly a work friend, or someone you spend time with, wthout them knowing and fall in love with them that way.

You fall into love, meaning it takes time.

Nah, not really. I agree w/ everyone else. Lust at first sight? yeah, we've all looked at someone at some point in our lives and wanted to...well, you know, but love? nah, that grows w/ time.

I've fallen in lova at first sight, twice. But believe me, they both turned out to break my heart. Growing to love someone is safer (if possible)as you get to know them before you're 'gone'!!
