I would like to get some information on start up costs for a production company. I just need enough for a hunting and fishing show. so it would be the basics video camera, computer, software editing, digital effects. I dont have much money to start so what would you advise doing to get started. Also how would I go about getting sponsors and air time.

If you really want to do it right, you need a DV camera, a computer that can handle the amount of footage you'll be shooting, and a good program like Avid DV or Final Cut Pro. They'll have the effects you need for a simple hunting and fishing show - wipes, dissolves, etc. If you are viewing this from home, you must already have a computer. If it's got enough hard drive and memory, then all you'll need is the camera and the software. You could probably find both on eBay. But if not, go to Best Buy. But them with a credit card so you can spread out the payments rather than have to pay all at once.

As far as getting air time, that really depends. You could put it on public access for free. But if you're wanting to get paid for doing the show, you'll need to find an outlet for it. And if I knew how to easily do that, I'd have my own shows on the air. Your best bet is to get local businesses involved in your show - either through product placement or an imbedded ad during the show. Then hopefully, you'll have enough money from these sponsors to buy airtime late at night from one of your local stations.

If you're thinking bigger - like you want your show to be on a cable channel like the Outdoor channel or ESPN2 or something - you need to come up with an original idea for your show, get an entertainment lawyer to represent you, and send the tape in to them. But I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

Fist you cross round a purchase a host of machines. Then you set them in a warehouse and begin going for walks them. Then you hit up your household for loans and unfastened exertions. Then you're taking probably the most mortgage cash and purchase a brand new Hummer b/c no person else could take you severely with out one. Cruise round for your Hummer and take a look at to uncover locations to promote all of the belongings you household is attempting to make. Oh ya, and purchase a forklift too earlier than you get some thing too heavy to raise and are not able to raise it.
