Everyone knows steve erkel from family matters and he is very much alive. But The is a Steve Erkel who is a writer /producer and he did commit suicide.

There is a huge rumor that he's dead and/or gay.
It happens. Whenever an actor is out of work people start to think they are dead and I think it was a fake news item that was spread through e-mail about him being dead.

He is not dead...there was even somthing on yahoo about the searches for him going up because of the rumor but he is alive and well.

I just saw him on a child actors all grown up special on VH1. He's fine. And his name is Jaleel White. Urkel is the character he played.

It was a big hoax. Jaleel White is not dead but it was all over the internet. He is alive and kicking!
