The first thing is to stop caring what everyone thinks about you. I know its hard but know that a lot of times people probably wish they could be you. If you wear really fitted jeans, STOP. Check out the style magazines because clothes make a very big impact on your social life. Most importantly people are drawn to people that are mysterious sort of like trying to figure out a puzzle. Be careful though because there is a fine line between mysteriously cool and a weirdo.

As a man thinketh in his heart...so is he.

Just be yourself man...you have to feel good about who you are and give off the vibes that you're strong and confident in yourself and you don't need anybody. Once people realize you don't care what they think they'll get over it...no matter what...never let em see ya sweat!

You won't be the last 'Johnny come lately '. Pretty soon something or someone else will become the focus of their fixation and they won't be thinking about you.

The other thing to remember too is that they may feel a little jealous because you have what they don't...many things are not as they seem so just accept them for who they are...and yourself for the great person you are...and allow time to do it's thing...it will all work out you'll see...contrary to what you may feel teenhood is not terminal, you do grow up and it does end, life goes on.

Stay true to yourself. Don't worry about what other people think. The best way to aleviate misconception is to show people the truth. Therefore, get to know people you wouldn't ordinarily talk to. Join a club in your school or a volunteer group. Those are great ways to meet people that you won't ordinarily associate with on a normal basis.
Also, don't worry about being popular, become liked first.....then popularity comes afterwards. As a little personal insight popularity isn't all its cracked up to be anyways.
take care
Best of luck!

for a start, how about joining a group, or do some volunteering. you can make friends by doing that. you gotta be yourself, and dont care about what everyone says or thinks. even if you were popular, there is always people there that will hate you. money can never buy you popularity.

Just be yourself. Don't flaunt your money and be a good friend to the ones you have. Life is not a popularity contest...school just feels like one. Eventually you will find a group of people you fit in with.

Till then hang in there.

What does your family's wealth have to do with others thinking that you're "gay and a dork"? Do you think that your family's money should automatically guarantee your popularity?

What's wrong with that? Is everyone you know exactly the same? No. Everyone is unique and amusing in their own way. Volunteer, talk to people, sign up for school groups. And be happy.

Money doesn't get you anything. Being yourself and not worrying about what other people think is what will get you far. Grow up a little and you'll learn most people in this world don't matter all that much.
