who is watching the government? They are more interested in who/whom one marries, straight or gay, while our covert government is infiltrating iran? does this make sense. what was the most unreported important news story? how about Iran and korea? while they worry about our sexual habits, we are invading other countries, a conveinent way to obscure/blind the public with nonsense issues, while our government is "spending" more than it is taking in. Illegal Aliens, legalize them all, then they too can pay taxes and pay into the "system", they are already here. my opinion, and yes opinions are like butts, everyone has one!!!!

I am proud to be an American because of what our country has been throughout history and the rights we have thanks to our forefathers. But as far as our current state of government or our current standing as a country in general, it is a shame!!! The American pride comes from the fact that we were a country for the people and by the people. When elections are scammed and the president is known to be affiliated with the very terrorists he has pledged to destroy there is nothing to be proud of! Our society would rather spend money on tabloids than fund our school systems or elderly programs. While our president gets richer and richer off of rising oil prices! Therefore why would the government not take advantage of us all, we are allowing it to happen right before our eyes! What a shame that is!

I am an American, living in China, working with hundreds of people every day, I am ashamed when they ask about Bush and some of the ill-concieved policies. I agree that too much attention is being spent on our personal lifestyles and issues such as abortion when those things should be left to the individuals. However I think that the real subversion is not only with the government but with mass media. We are being fed tripe, rhetoric and sensationalism. Read the news...this country is shaking its bombs at us or they will invade, or avian flu or some other thing will do us all in. These reporters are writing things that may or may not exist. Many fine stories about the war in Vietnam were written from the roof-top bar of the Caravelle Hotel in Saigon and many scenes of 'combat' were filmed at training camps. But it is ok as many of the leaders in communication companies are Japanese businessmen. In Universities, professors are encouraged 'to publish or perish', so are these reporters seeing disasters where none exist.

I am an indepent and I vote for who I think is best suited for the job. I am so against what Bush and the crimminals are doing to this country right now I could scream. Now some people put their party before their country and that is sad. Bush ignores the laws and would love nothing more than a Fascist Government. He is the perfect example of divide and conquer. I hope he is brought up an charges and shot by our Military in a firing squad along with Cheney, and KKKarl Rove, the architect of Treason.
