Was I expecting quite a few characters to be killed in the final book? Yes. The Wizarding community is currently in a state of war, and people are going to die.

As much as I don't like it, I think it is totally possible that J.K. Rowling might kill off Harry. If you remember the article, she said that there is a good side to killing off your main character. When she is dead and gone, no one will be able to come back and write Harry because he already died; it would be satisfactory to know that no one will come back and take over you masterpiece.

Here is a list of people besides Harry that I think might perish.

Ron: Besides being Harry's best mate, we haven't really seen him prove himself in times of danger and battle. He showed his strengths back in Book 1 when during the giant chess match during the hunt for the Philosopher's Stone. There is a theory that Ron will sacrifice himself for Harry in the final match against Voldemort.

Pettigrew: Do I have to explain it? Let's see... He betrayed the Potters, he helped Voldemort get his body back, and is an all-around bad guy. I think it's time to go, and that the life-debt that he has to Harry will be involved somehow.

Draco: I think that apart from being "bad", Draco is really a tragic character. His family are Death Eaters. He's got a lot to live up to. I got the kind of feeling that he was forced in the Book 6 to serve Voldemort. All the stress he underwent, the frustration, the anxiety... I mean, the poor boy was misguided. Remember that he is only about 17. People can make horrible mistakes when they are at that age. Unfortunately in Draco's case, it might cost him his life. He's in too deep.

Professor Trelawney: I think there is a possibility of her death in Book 7. She's always predicting how people will die, and seeing strange, dark omens everywhere. I think that is a kind of subtle foreshadowing. She sees death everywhere, why can't it be hers? I just wonder how this would play out, and how important it would be to the actual plot.

Percy: Hmm... Anyone sure which side he is really on?

Who will get a reprieve? I have an inkling that it is one of the Dursleys....

I think it's almost certain that Harry will conquer Voldemort in some way... If that means that he physically has to kill him, I have no idea. I personally don't think Harry is capable of murder, but I have a feeling that his ability to love will be extremely important in the final book. To be totally honest, I don't think that Harry will survive, but neither will Voldemort.

I think that both Harry and Voldemort are going to die. She just said that two characters are going to die in the final book. She also hinted that Harry might not make it in the end.

Although, hopefully, it will be Voldemort and Snape. That would be great.

I have to say both will. It would be fitting. Harry and Voldemort are linked. I kinda think that the only way Voldermort can die is if Harry dies. I see it this way, Harry's final act to save his friends will be to give his own life and somehow take Voldemort with him.

I don't think that harry is going to die JK Rowling's said that she wasn't going to kill harry because she doesn't want any one to strangle her in her sleep she said this on the talk show that she did. But i don't think Harry or Voldemort will die because harry is a hexes and i think that if one dies the other one will because of the hex (the seven things Voldemort his Like the journal that was in book two)I think the two main char caters will likely be Ron and Draco Malfoy

Well, J.K. Rowling recently hinted that two characters are going to die in the 7th, and that Harry might not be safe.

My personal theory involves the prophecy,

'Neither can live, while the other dies'.
Harry might find 2 of the four remaining Horcruxes, and in a fight, kills off Voldemort, then has to destroy himself, being the last Horcrux.

I happen to believe that because,
First off:The prophecy
Second off: J.K. Rowling's hint.
And
Third off: If Harry's dead, kapow, no more books.Though it would be tragic.

I wouldn't think that she would be able to kill off Harry, but then again that would be the end of the series, I think that a lot of people would be too upset, so I am going to have to go with Voldemort.

I think it will be Voldemort and Hermoinie who die. Hermoinie's death will hurt Harry more than his own.

both. Voldemort because the bad guy has to die at the end, and harry because like JKR said, she doesnt want people writting sequals to her story after she is gone
