This isn't an answer to your question , just something I want anyone reading to read .............I have been away from home for a long time now. I am 56 years old and when I was younger I respected my mom and dad...I wasn't always the perfect child. As I got older and became a mother myself i realized that when my mom tried to tell me something it was for my own good.....I would give anything to be able to sit and talk with my mom but she doesn't remember me anymore ...She has Alzheimers !!! So my point is this...........Those of you who think that you don't need to listen to or talk with your mother , think again...Life is too short and you may never get the chance to tell her how you feel...So what if she did something you didn't like or is with someone you can't stand,,She is still your mother and you will need her one day and she might not be here or like my mom can't relate to anything or anyone anymore.......love your mothers ...Tell them so and never let anything come between you

Not close, I only see her like 5 minutes every morning, cause when she leaves work in the afternon she goes to her boyfriends house.

I lived with her from 26-29 and I work with her. We have not gotten along since I was a child.

to be honest...i used to REALLY not be close to my mom. i didn't understand her...thought she never understood me...etc. I just got mad at her all the time. But now, since i've moved...i've really drawn close to her and talked to her about stuff i never thought i would...it's cool. i like having a mom there to talk to. =)

I am very close to her, but I have to admit sometimes we do clash because we have different ways of going about things.

i been living with her since the day i was borned
we was never close..but people always perceive that we are very close.....
i dislike the way she mistreated her own parents...my grandparents...but i never argue with her...i just keep quiet...and ignore her....eventhough i dislike her but she is still my mother.
i am a typical asian ~~~
